Psychotherapy services now exempt from GST/HST!

Exciting update!

Psychotherapists are now exempt from having to charge GST/HST on psychotherapy services. This legislative change came about after several years of advocacy efforts by many psychotherapists and mental health counsellors across the country.

This is a small but significant step toward greater accessibility to mental health services in Canada, as well as an win for psychotherapists to be treated equitably under Canadian tax law (i.e. on par with other Regulated Health Professionals).
